Los Angeles-born and Texas-raised artist YI is an electronically-influenced music producer and DJ. YI’s musical style encompasses traditional harmonic progressions with jazz influenced chords and pop-style melodies. His sound is distinct to that of other electronic and popular artists, blending acoustics with a synthetic and modular resonance. Lyrically, YI’s writing follows his subjective experiences, encompassing emotion and passion within each song.   

As a result, YI has expanded his growth throughout Texas and beyond, being named as the 2nd Top College DJ of the United States by “CAMPUS DJ,” a nationwide collegiate DJ competition. He has worked outside of his genre and currently produces for a plethora of artists. He also stars in the show “Polaris Primetime” on Disney XD / D|XP as the show’s DJ.
